For the first time at a world championship the fare for buses and trams is already included in the admission ticket for the games. This combined ticket was arranged by the association of the German transportation companies (VDV) and the organizers of the FIFA world championship 2006 ™. The tickets are valid in the respective regional networks from early in the morning until deep in the night. The average costs when using a car to go to a game and back amount to around € 8,60 (arrival from the urban area) respective € 16,70 (regional network area). The combined ticket makes those trips with buses and railways free of charge. Also over longer distances the world championship tickets of the DB AG are cheaper than the trip by car. more
